Danish brothers, Alexander and Christopher, came to Los Angeles with a dream of someday starting their own business and live the American dream. Today, that dream is Danish Bros. bakery, cafe and deli in Inglewood, California. Their love for baking started at an early age, in the suburbs of Copenhagen, as they watched their mother bake wholesome breads, cakes, and -- in their humble professional opinion -- the world’s best apple pie. Alexander graduated from the Danish Baking Academy, in Roskilde in 1997. After that, he worked as a master baker at the top bakeries throughout Copenhagen including Reinh van Hauen, the premiere bakery in Denmark. Upon immigrating to America he worked at various bakeries the last as production manager for Le Pain Quotidien's 18 bakeries in Los Angeles. Although more focused on the business side, Christopher has also had his hands in the dough when he worked as pastry chef apprentice at the esteemed Lagkagehuset in Copenhagen. Danish Bros. is committed to offer delicious artisanal baked goods and beverages at a prices that are fair and affordable. Their products are made with the highest quality ingredients using natural and organic ingredients sourced from growers directly when possible. Any time of day, you can stop in for wholesome bread and pastries, a delicious lunch, or simply a great cup of coffee or tea. Christopher's favorite pastry is a freshly baked chocolate croissant and Alexander's is the classic Danish spandauer, also known as ‘The Real Danish’. Visit us and tell us yours! We look forward to meeting you.
